Celebrated my birthday with the gummy-worm earthworm cake with redhots on top Sam and the kids baked during the day. Lit candles when I got home from work yesterday. Delicious.

Sex in the City

So the movie comes out tomorrow. Much anticipated. Sam and the moms are making a night out of it. Dinner/drinks and movie afterward. So get Carried away as they say at the website.

While, tomorrow is my birthday. Happy Birthday to me. I'll be working 12 hours and when I get home, I get to have home made birthday cake with the kids and the babysitter. Yippeee. Now, I can justify to by that Asus EEE 2gb surf - big yaaahoooo!!!

Seedless grapes club

Mines would be, however, cantaloupes. But, Sam says they would be cherry tomatoes. Either way, they are soon going to be of the seedless variety. OUCH. Well, whatever the Mrs. wants. She's been holding them for years. Good thing they are detachable.

I hope I can get a week vacation for this. I'll have to stock up the freezer with bags of frozen peas. I just hope they don't swell and turn blue after I walk out since this can be done at the doctor's office. I wonder if they would mind if I videotape this?

What to do today?

It's my day off and here I am wondering what I'm going to do today. Work on my pics...video...clean up the house a little...organize the closet where I have my audio-visual stuff...try to figure out how to use my external dvd drive...install my video editing software...etc... It's too much. I'll probably end up doing nothing once again and wonder the same thing tomorrow.

I did make myself a cafe latte this morning with Black Cat Intelligentsia espresso grounds - at least I did that. Would love to take their barrista class in the city this summer, hopefully.

Damn, I need a vacation in a bad way. You know you need one when you are at home and you dial 9 to get an outside line. Seriously, I can count how many times I've done that and always glad we have no area codes that start with 1. I'm like, why didn't the call go through.. did I dial 9 first, again, Mr. Alzheimer's express in training.

Some of our Spring 2008 Flowers. I love our miniature Korean lilac bush when in bloom. You can smell it's delicate fragance most anywhere in the backyard if the wind blows just right.

Finally, a warm May day to do some plantings. Bought flowers from Caputo's this morning and Tyler and Isabelle were more than willing to help garden. Nothing fun like getting dirt under the fingernails.
